In 1934, during the golden age of black and white films, when silver screen stars were all the rage, Studio Harcourt, a photo studio with a groundbreaking concept, was born in Paris.

Applying the effective lighting techniques used in black and white films to emphasize depth and three-dimensionality, while also focusing intensely on the inner person, the studio's portraits were highly acclaimed. Celebrities of Parisian society, including legendary actors such as Marlene Dietrich, Josephine Baker, Brigitte Bardot, Jean Marais, and Alain Delon, visited the studio one after another for photoshoots. This is a collection of those portraits.

Includes French, English, and Japanese text.
