Ed was born an artist with a creative mind and an eye for detail. However, it wasn't until he was asked to create an eagle staff for ceremonies that he found his passion for creating traditional Indigenous art.
Ed quickly became infatuated with flint knapping and would practice making arrowheads any chance he had. As he honed his craft, people began requesting more traditional weapons and art. Soon, Ed was also an expert at creating knives, spears, tomahawks, bow and arrows, and even jewelry.
In 2014, the demand for his work was so significant that he quit his full-time job to pursue his dream of becoming an artist and Tk'emlúps Traditions was born. Since then, Ed has been busy experimenting and perfecting his craft with many different types of organic materials such as stone, wood, bone, beads, buckskin, and antler.
When Ed's not in his workshop, he's busy gathering materials through hunting, fishing, hiking, or bartering. He also enjoys teaching others and spending time with his family and community.
